KAZNU ESTABLISHES PARTNERSHIP WITH GERMANY

The delegation headed by the representatives of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Germany) Hendrik Meurs visited the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

At the meeting, the head of KazNU presented the honored guests with the achievements of the university and focused on the progress of cooperation with German universities.

“KazNU has signed more than 500 international cooperation agreements with leading universities and institutes of the world. Among them 21 agreements were concluded with German universities. Joint educational programs and scientific projects are implemented. Also, our students travel to Germany and undergo internships at universities. Further development of the partnership is planned in the future. It is necessary to jointly hold conferences and workshops,” rector said.

At the end of his speech, Zhanseit Tuimebayev proposed to jointly open a research center on the KazNU campus.

“Al-Farabi KazNU is a leading university in Kazakhstan. In the future we will maintain close relations with KazNU and we are ready to build up the partnership,” Professor Hendrik Meurs stated.

The parties agreed on the systematic implementation of these initiatives and exchanged memorable gifts. After the meeting, representatives of the delegation met with the staff of KazNU and deans, during which the participants exchanged views in the field of science and education.
