• Within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to China, Zhanseit Tuimebayev paid a working visit to China.
• At a meeting with the participation of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Xi Jinping, Rector of the University Zhanseit Tuimebayev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao signed an agreement on the opening of a branch of Northwestern Polytechnical University in KazNU.
• President of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev opened the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Xi'an during a state visit to the People's Republic of China. After the official event, Zhanseit Tuimebayev signed a memorandum of cooperation with leading universities and institutes in China.
• During his working trip to China, the rector met with the Rector of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Song Baowei, and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.
• Zhanseit Kanseitovich Xian also met with the president of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Wang Shuguo.
• The head of KazNU gave a special interview to the Chinese state TV channel CCTV (China Central Television).
• The Rector took part in the leadership lecture of the First President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honorary Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Askar Akayev, who specially arrived at the university.
• Zhanseit Kanseitovich made a report at the I Forum of Specialists in the field of international relations "Modern International Relations and Diplomacy: the Role and Place of the Republic of Kazakhstan".
• The Head of KazNU received a delegation from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
