A memorandum of cooperation between the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Medical Tourism Association of Kazakhstan was signed, in order to conduct professional advanced training of employees under the MBA, EMBA, DBA programs in the field of medical tourism.

The signing ceremony was attended by the President of the "Kazakhstan Association of Medical Tourism" Krivets K., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare Kalmataeva Zh., head of the Department Mamyrbekova S. and the team of Al-Farabi business school.

The Memorandum provides an opportunity for medical tourism employees to receive professional, practice-oriented knowledge from leading experts, business coaches in the field of conducting and managing departments of international cooperation.

The State program of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Development of the Tourism Industry No. 360" for 2019-2025 spelled out the main priority areas of tourism and the direction of medical tourism received special attention. Medicine in Kazakhstan does not lag behind world practices, both technologically and in terms of professional competencies of specialists. It is worth noting that there are 20 resort areas in our country, most of them have proven and studied natural healing factors and climatic resorts.

The Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare together with Al-Farabi Business School have developed a new unique MBA, EMBA, DBA program in the field of medical tourism. The program will be conducted on the principles of customer orientation and continuous improvement of the program with the introduction of advanced tools in the management of this industry into the educational process.
