The Competition of educational videos from "KAZENERGY"


The Association "KAZENERGY" announces the holding of animation and educational videos for school children and students "Energy is the source of life" in the framework of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of "KAZENERGY".
The Purpose of the Competition  familiarization of young people about the role of energy resources in human life through the preparation of informative animated videos.

Objectives of the Competition:
∙ Engaging young people in studying the energy industry through animated videos;
∙ Search and support of talented and motivated youth;
∙ Popularization of positively directed creative activity.

School children and students aged 15 to 22 can take part in the Competition.

The prize fund of the Competition is:
1st place - 300,000 tenge;
2 x 2nd place - 200,000 tenge;
2 x 3rd place - 150,000 tenge each.

Registration for participation will be open until December 25, 2020.

"Student Energy Challenge" Contest once again Unites Kazakhstani Students in the Struggle for the Most Vivid Ideas on Oil and Gas and Energy Industry

KAZENERGY Association in partnership and with the financial support of Shell Kazakhstan announces the "Student Energy Challenge" contest among students of Kazakhstani technical universities.
Students of all training courses under undergraduate and graduate programs can participate in the Contest. The Contest consists of V stages, the number of teams is not limited. Several teams can participate from each University.

Within the framework of the Contest, a training on the development of critical thinking skills "Shell NXplorers" will be held in Nur-Sultan (July 2-3, 2020), developed by specialists of the Shell Kazakhstan concern to develop critical thinking skills and complex problem solving.
In August, a webinar "Creating an Effective Presentation" will be held for the semi-finalist teams in partnership with the EY Business Academy.
The Prize Fund of the Contest is:
1st place – USD 10,000, 2nd place - USD 5,000, 3rd place - USD 3,000.

“Student Energy Challenge” Competition by “KAZENERGY”

“KAZENERGY” Association announces the annual intellectual student competition “Student Energy Challenge” among students of higher and (or) postgraduate educational institutions of Kazakhstan who train specialists in technical specialties.
The competition is sponsored by Shell Kazakhstan B.V.
The aim of the Competition is to develop the potential of students to develop innovative solutions to energy problems.
The annual prize fund of the Competition is:
I place - 10 000 $;
II place - 5 000 $;
III place - 3000 $.
In 2020, the competition was replenished with a wide range of topics, including more than 20 items in 5 areas:
- Increasing efficiency in the mining and processing industries;
- Electric power / renewable and alternative energy sources;
- Ecology / health protection;
- Introduction of digital technologies and effective innovative solutions in the mining industries;
- Water-saving technologies.
Students of all undergraduate and graduate programs can take part in the Competition.
Requirements for the participants of the Competition:
1. Age from 18 to 29 years;
2. A team of 3-5 students representing one of the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3. Gender balance of participants;
4. Captain and team name;
5. The theme of the Competition is determined before filling an application;
6. The supervisor of the teaching staff of the university;

Climate Launchpad 2020 Competition

In June 2020, the National final of the Climate Launchpad Competition will be held in Kazakhstan.
ClimateLaunchpad is the largest international competition of business ideas in the field of green technologies, which aims to reduce the negative impact on the environment and climate through the implementation of projects in the field of renewable energy, sustainable food production and environmental protection technologies.
The Competition is open to researchers, students, undergraduates, doctoral students, representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, individual entrepreneurs and other persons.
The purpose of the Competition is to find bright, promising ideas and to help them develop into a sustainable business projects. The Competition is open to ideas and projects aimed at improving and protecting the environment, regardless of industry sector.
Semifinalists of the Competition will have the opportunity to take business trainings from leading international and domestic trainers in the field of developing startup companies and attracting investment in the project. At the end of training, the certificates will be given to participants.
Two teams, who will win the National final of the Competition, will represent Kazakhstan at the International Final, which will be held in November.

Сompetition of business projects "Startup Turan"

University "Turan" together with the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the city of Almaty invites students of Kazakhstani universities to take part in the city competition of business projects "Startup Turan".

The aim of the competition is to promote entrepreneurship as an effective life strategy among young people.

The objectives of the competition are:

- providing information and methodological assistance and financial support to projects proposed by young people in the field of small business and aimed at finding new, effective forms and methods of doing business;

- encouraging young people to create and develop their business;

- dissemination of best practices in the field of small business;

- the formation of a bank of business projects in order to further assist the bidders in their implementation.

The winners of the competition will receive diplomas and certificates from the Chamber of Entrepreneurs "ATAMEKEN" of Almaty; inclusion of projects in the Register of the best startup-projects of students of Kazakhstani universities; service support of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty; discounts from 30 to 50% on education at the University "Turan"; start-up capital to promote the most promising project.

The competition will be held from March 18 to April 24, 2020 in three stages.

The first stage is the reception and registration of applications for participation in the competition (March 18–06.04.2020). Competitive bids submitted after the deadline for submission of bids are not subject to consideration. Participants who submitted an application after the specified date are not allowed to the competition.

The second stage is the assessment by the Expert Commission of the business plans of the participants in the form of a presentation and selection of the finalists of the competition (April 8–17.04.2020). According to the results of the examination, on the basis of the obtained points, the top 10 business plans with the maximum number of points will be chosen.

The third stage is the protection of business plans by the finalists of the competition (April 24, 2020) in front of the Expert Council. According to the results of the examination, 3 winning projects will be selected on the basis of the obtained points.

KAZENERGY Association and Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. announced a new StudentDigitalFest contest among the students of Kazakhstani universities

StudentDigitalFest is a new competition of the KAZENERGY Association (Organizer), which is implemented with financial support from Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V.
The purpose of the competition is to support innovation projects of the youth for development of technological solutions in the field of digitalization for the oil and gas industry.
The competition is open to bachelor and master students of technical specialties of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan.
Application deadline is November 3, 2019 inclusive.

INNOVATIVE IDEAS COMPETITION “JASTAR OTANǴA!”


The Bolashak Association, within the framework of the state grant of the non-profit joint-stock company “Center for Supporting Civil Initiatives”, with the support of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organizes the Innovation Ideas Competition “Jastar Otanǵa!”.

 The purpose of the Competition: to promote a development of business activity and employment of the population, a development of business thinking of youth, as well as the creation of conditions for self-realization of youth.

 Competition Objectives:
• development of mechanisms for involving young people in public life;
• development of entrepreneurship among young people and creation of an ecosystem of startups;
• creation of conditions for self-realization of youth and organization of conditions for networking.

 The Project is open to young people from all over Kazakhstan at the age of 18 to 29 years.

 Acceptance of applications for participation in the competition will last until September 20, selection of applications from September 23 to 26, the names of finalists will be published on the website bolashak.kz on September 27.

 The final of the Project will be held in Almaty from October 23 to 24, 2019.

The allocation of educational grants in the framework of «KAZENERGY» educational program

     The Kazakhstan Association of Oil and Gas and Energy Complex Organizations «KAZENERGY» with the aim of supporting talented young people in getting education and engaging them in the implementation of breakthrough innovative projects, conducts a competitive selection to provide educational grants to students of higher educational institutions and colleges at the expense of subsoil users.

International Competition «ClimateLaunchpad»   

  The « Science Fund » JSC ( further Science Foundation) together with the NU Green Campus and the Innovation Cluster of the The autonomous organization of education «Nazarbayev University»  «Astana Business Campus» offer Kazakhstan scientists and entrepreneurs to take part in the international competition ClimateLaunchpad 2019. The competition is organized by Climate-KIC, which is the main initiative of the European Union in the field of climate and innovation. 50 countries will participate in the Climate Launchpad in 2019.

Results of the regional selection round of the National Competition of Youth Business Projects «Menin Armanym!» 

      In Almaty, from 10 to 12 May 2019, the regional selection round of the National Competition of Youth Business Projects «Menin Armanym!» was held.

      The main goal of the Contest is to attract the most active and gifted young people aged 16-29 years, support socially important business initiatives of young entrepreneurs aimed at improving the quality of life standards, as well as transfer of advanced knowledge and technology.

      KazNU named after al-Farabi, together with KazNPU named after Abay and AlmaU were identified as coordinators of the 4 season qualifying round in Almaty region.

      Students of KazNU actively participated in the demonstration of their business ideas, and following the results of the first day of Startup Weekend from all 17 projects selected by mentors for the pitch presentation, 7 projects were presented by students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

       According to the results of the selection round to the quarter-finals from the university, three projects were selected: «Smart Switch Gaz», «F32.0» – computer processing of psychological tests for diagnosing depressive state and «Nanocomposite anti-aging biomasks for the face».

      In the quarter finals of the Competition, which is scheduled to be held in the summer in Shymkent, socially significant student projects from across the country will gather, and the winners of this stage will take part in a televised battle of business ideas in the format of a reality show in Nur-Sultan.

 

Become a member of the National Competition of youth business projects «Menin Armanym!»

The main goal of the “Menin Armanym” Competition (further Competition) is to attract the most active and gifted young people aged 16-29 years, support socially important business initiatives of young entrepreneurs aimed at improving the quality of life standards, as well as transfer of advanced knowledge and technologies.

The number of projects provided by participants is not limited.

The television project includes several stages, at one of which the participant can enter the project by sending an application for participation online through the site www.meninarmanym.kz to May 8, 2019 inclusive. To do this, you must fill out an application, prepare a project passport, tell about project implementation activities and provide the project itself.

Next, the participant must come to the qualifying stage which will be held offline in the format of regional Startup Weekend on May 10-12 of this year.

Startup Weekend will be 3 days and will include:

- discovery, presentation of the project

- motivational meeting with mentors

- training where ideas come from

- Canvas business model

- pitch presentation

- selection of projects for the quarter-finals.

Thanks to the television competition, talented young people will be revealed who can analyze, think logically and apply basic competence (functional literacy).

 

Citi Foundation together with Business Incubator MOST and Youth Business International in the current year are implementing the project «Jastar Business».

«Jastar Business» is a program for developing a startup ecosystem of Kazakhstan and youth entrepreneurship through training, mentoring and providing great opportunities for opening your own business in the cities of Astana and Almaty. The objectives of the program are the creation of a developed entrepreneurial ecosystem, the holding of a series of Startup Weekend contests, a pre-acceleration program and an acceleration program for young entrepreneurs during the year.

«Zhas Project» 

 Within the framework of the Year of Youth from March 15 to April 15, 2019, the "Zhas Project" starts in Almaty. This is a youth corps development project supported by the World Bank and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The project “Development of the Youth Corps” is aimed at stimulating the involvement of young people, especially vulnerable groups, in the life of the community, the development of vital skills through the implementation of a program of training community service for the benefit of the community.

On February 18, 2019, the regular intellectual team competition “Student Energy Challenge” was launched among students of technical universities of Kazakhstan

The competition was organized by the Association «KAZENERGY» and the company «Shell Kazakhstan".

The aim of the competition is to support the development of potential innovative solutions for energy problems among students of Kazakhstan.

The competition is aimed at the development of professional and personal potential of Kazakhstan students, the encouragement of understanding of the importance of energy and related tasks, the support the development of engineering thinking and creativity, the transfer of best practices and technical skills in the field of industry to Kazakh students, and the gaining experience to accumulation and capitalization of competencies by students in areas of their future participation in large grant projects and further motivation for scientific and entrepreneurial activities.

The final of the competition, where projects will be defended by student teams that reached the semifinal, will be held on September 26-27, 2019 at the site of the XI KAZENERGY Youth Forum as part of the XII KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum «Kazakhstan Energy Week».

The III International Technology Festival from Almaty Tech Garden - TG Fair'17 will be in Almaty on September 23, 2017
