The summer semester at the university is organized according to the Academic calendar after the end of the academic year (with the exception of the graduation course) is held:

– in the presence of disciplines of academic debt

-disciplines with an "unsatisfactory" rating based on the results of intermediate certification (examination sessions);

- in the presence of disciplines of academic difference when transferring from other universities or from other educational programs, when reinstating students after expulsion, a long trip abroad or academic leave;

 – to improve the average GPA;

 – to obtain additional knowledge and skills in disciplines outside the curriculum

- development of an adjacent or additional educational program, including within the framework of a double-diploma education.

The summer semester is carried out on the basis of contracts for the provision of educational services, with the exception of the study of disciplines of academic difference, formed in connection with the return from academic leave or from a long trip abroad under the academic mobility program financed from the state budget.

Re-training in order to eliminate academic debts is organized by the dean's office of the faculty and the office of the organization of the educational process of DAV on the basis of the relevant order and upon payment of tuition in accordance with the contract for the provision of educational services after approval of the application for re-training submitted by the student electronically through the UNIVER system.

Students are registered for repeated or additional studies in the main and summer semesters, taking into account the main credit load of the current semester of study.
